Make The Mega Peacock
On Alpha Loom!
Get ready to learn a couple new looming techniques on the Alpha Loom. As you can see the Mega Peacock Feather bracelet is absolutely gorgeous! It’s an original design by J Burns. Discover in her tutorial (above) the method she used to get this larger cuff Alpha Loom bracelet. Using a special technique of layering 6 rubber bands instead of the typical 1 connector band. Additionally J Burns uses the 6 rubber bands on both sides of the Alpha Loom. Normally the connector band is only attached to one side. A similar but different method for a larger cuff Alpha Loom bracelet was first demonstrated by Rob at Justin’s Toys for the Seven Row Fishtail bracelet tutorial. Rob used 2 connector bands in a different. The idea is instead of using only 1 connector band as usual; You can get a fuller and larger cuff bracelet by using several rubber bands in a row.
Another awesome new technique demonstrated by J Burns in this tutorial is starting your bracelet with a cap band stretch over all seven pegs. J Burns used 3 rubber bands for this purpose for durability and just a great look. This is how she gets the super cute look for the back of the bracelet. Upon finishing your bracelet you’ll attach all your c-clips to the one cap-band to form a round circle.
