Learn how to make an Alpha Loom Belt!
If you really want to show off your love for loom bands now is the time. And if you’re in need of a new belt, a colorful good belt that will last you a long time, get ready to make your new loom bands belt on the Alpha Loom. What you’ll need to get started: a good belt buckle of your choice, and of course, an Alpha Loom and Alpha Loom Bands. Belt Buckles are rather inexpensive at your local hobby store. You could also hunt around at garage sales or thrift stores for a super cheap belt buckle attached to a belt, take it home and cut off the buckle from the belt. Also make sure you have plenty of Alpha Loom bands, depending on the size of the belt you want to make you’ll need well over 100 Alpha Loom bands, probably at least 500 bands.
In the first few steps in the tutorial above by David at Rainbow Loom, you’re shown how to successfully attach your buckle to the beginning of your Alpha Loom belt. David made a beautiful Pink belt. Follow his lead or make a belt of your choice of colors. Other than the first few steps of attaching the buckle, it will be like making a very very long bracelet on Alpha Loom. The steps for making classic Alpha Loom bracelets (click here for instructions) are very routine. Once you’ve made a few Alpha Loom bracelets you’ll realize the steps are just repeating over and over until you have the length you want. That’s what you’ll be doing here until you get to the desired length for your belt. Have a great time making your new Alpha Loom belt. If you love the way it turns out, take a photo of it and share it with the Alpha Loom G+ Community. If you want a belt with designs on it, choose a FREE Alpha Loom template here and keep repeating the pastern for the length of your belt.
